INTRO TO BLOCKPRINTING, FISH & FLOWERS
AT TRAVELERS’ REST STATE PARK

About the workshop:

This workshop is led by Open AIR alum, K.Rad of Sabertooth Studio.

Learn the basics of linoleum block printmaking, a classic relief printing technique where you carve your design into linoleum, roll ink onto the surface, and handprint your image onto paper. In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll design, carve, and print your own small edition of a 3"x4" linoleum block. This workshop will focus on native Montana plants and animals. You are welcome to come with a design or idea, but no experience is necessary!

All materials and supplies are included.

About the Artist:

KRad is an artist, educator, and musician based in Missoula, Montana.  She is the founder of Sabertooth Studio, a multimedia arts studio dedicated to activating communities and environments, raising awareness of social and environmental issues, and creating work that honors the natural world.  She is also a 2025 Arts Missoula Grant Recipient, which will support the launch of Sabertooth Studio's Mobile Print Shop - a community-based printmaking initiative.
