Miah Chalfant — also known as Heóvá’é’e (Yellow Hair Woman) — is a contemporary artist, storyteller, and rancher. An enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, she lives and practices on her homelands in Southeastern Montana. Blending traditional designs with contemporary color and ideas, her work honors her ancestors while sharing her lived experience. She uses her knowledge and experience to support other Indigenous artists in establishing themselves within her community and beyond.
