Rachel Robinson (She/ They)
Program Coordinator

Rachel Robsinson holds a B.A. in Visual Arts with a concentration in printmaking from Gordon College (2003) and an M.A. in Community Art from The Maryland Institute College of Art (2006).

Rachel spent four years at Baltimore Clayworks, a ceramic arts non-profit, co-directing the organization's Community Art Program. From Baltimore, Rachel returned to East Africa (where she grew up) to work in study abroad, directing the Uganda Studies Program. In this role, she facilitated the learning of North American university students as they engaged with new and different ways of thinking and being.

Born and raised in Kenya, Rachel has a deep respect and love of cultures and an appreciation for how place shapes and informs us. She lives by the belief that we need each other, that beauty is a fundamental human right, and the creative process is for everyone. She is excited to join Open AIR as the Program Coordinator, and the good work of facilitating artists' residencies in western Montana.
